PGSO Makes the Month of May THE Time to Subscribe

May 14, 2026

The Prince George Symphony Orchestra Launches New Season with More Subscription Options

PRINCE GEORGE, BC, May 4th to 29th – The audience of the Prince George Symphony Orchestra’s finale Mainstage Concert on May 3rd, Storm and Stress, were excited by the announcement of the 2026-2027 season. Along with incredible repertoire, this season offers music lovers more subscription options than ever before – plus a chance to win a limited edition PGSO-branded Yeti mug!

Incentives to Subscribe in May

Last season subscribers’ seats will be held until May 29th, with unsold seats released in June. “We have subscribers who have kept the same seats for years,” says Executive Director Ken Hall. “They know exactly where they like to sit. We hate to see anyone disappointed, so we encourage people to subscribe before the end of the month.”

As an added incentive, anyone who purchases a subscription by May 29th will automatically be entered in a draw for a rare piece of merchandise: a Yeti mug with the PGSO logo. Very few of these attractive red mugs exist, so it’s an excellent status symbol for symphony goers.

Types of Subscriptions

As with previous seasons, the PGSO offers subscriptions to three series: Mainstage Concerts, Chamber Socials, and Family Concerts. Series subscriptions come at a variety of prices depending on type of seat and the subscriber’s demographic, but save subscribers around 15% compared to buying all tickets individually.

“The PGSO takes great care to offer variety in our music choices and in our concert formats,” says Music Director Michael Hall. “We offer so many options in our subscriptions because that reflects how many ways we bring classical music to life in Prince George, and how our audiences bring together people with different tastes, personalities, and needs, too.”

This year, the PGSO makes subscribing even more inviting by adding two Mini Seasons: Saturday Nights and Sunday Afternoons. The Saturday Nights subscription includes the three evening Mainstages. The Sunday Afternoons subscription includes two afternoon Mainstages and the April afternoon Chamber Social.

The New Season

The 2026-2027 season features a Mainstage series packed with exciting soloists, including lauded cellist Cameron Crozman, international competition-winning pianist Carter Johnson, and the PGSO’s own violinist Katherine Peter and violist Calvin Yang. The series also boasts a pops concert perfect for movie-lovers. The always-popular Chamber Socials have added a Sunday afternoon performance to their April show to the three traditional Saturday evening performances. The Family Concert highlights work by local talent with three engaging and accessible shows. Special Events include the PGSO traditions, the free concert Pops in the Park (paying tribute to Broadway this year) and the lively fundraiser Robbie Burns Night, with a mystery Christmas co-production with Judy Russell Productions waiting to be announced.
