Development Officer – fundraising
$20/h
30h/wk - includes evening and weekend hours
9 weeks, starting June 23, 2025
- Must be 19-30 years old and have a valid driver’s license
- Some extended work possible after the scheduled period for follow-up and events.
- Preferred candidates will have completed, or be close to graduation from an undergraduate program in non-profit development or fundraising and reside in Prince George.
- Reports to the PGSO Executive Director
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage PGSO Car Raffle sales events
- Arrange for a PGSO booth/tent at community events, local businesses, etc.
- Arrange volunteers to help staff the sales events
- Manage setup of events, including moving the prize car, signage, brochures, and sales equipment, including internet access and cash float
- Staff the community events as needed
- Provide daily sales reports
- Represent the PGSO in the community as a friendly and approachable presence
Help secure corporate sponsorships and program advertising sales for the 2025-26 season
- Research and maintain digital prospect lists
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality, including following best practice digital security with confidential information
- Approach potential partners including scheduling and attending meetings with the Executive Director
- Prepare support material for meetings
- Prepare sponsorship contracts and communicate terms to other PGSO staff for compliance
Aid the Executive Director in other development activities as time allows
