Diane Rogers

Diane Rogers (August 27, 1949 - December 18, 2021)

On December 18, 2021, the PGSO mourned the loss of long-time supporter and recent Board Member, Diane Rogers.

Diane was always willing to give of herself to anyone who came into her circle of knowing. She embraced all with warmth and care, endearing her to many. Her sense of humor in adversity and her dogged determination when faced with challenge were hallmarks of this amazing and talented woman.

The PGSO was the recipient of Diane’s strength, generosity, and leadership through the years of her work on the Board of Directors from 2014 until her passing.  She served as Board member, Vice-President, President, and Past President, serving long beyond a typical tenure at the request of the Board and administration. Diane saw the PGSO through five years of financial rebuilding, fiercely supporting the work of the administration and the Music Director to ensure the orchestra would continue to be a vibrant and important part of our community. Both she and Bill were generous donors through many years, but especially during this time.

Being a musician herself, Diane had a particular fondness for our professional musicians and often expressed her gratitude by way of personal notes to them or a verbal thank you from the stage.

Diane will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her and experiencing her joyful and devout attentiveness to all aspects of the PGSO. We are a better organization for her involvement and dedication to our orchestra. She will be dearly missed.
