Erica's Book Sale and Tea Accepting Donations of Used Goods

Saturday Apr. 10th, 2010

Clean out your closets and support the Prince George Symphony Orchestra at the same time. The PGSO is accepting donations of used books, CDs, DVDs, and magazines for a book sale fundraiser scheduled for the last weekend of May. Larger items and artwork are also being accepted for a silent auction. Donations can be dropped off at the symphony office at 2880 15th Avenue, Tuesday through Friday between 9:30 am - 4:00 pm.

Erica's Book Sale and Tea is being organized by Erica Skowron, the principal oboist of the PGSO. The event will take place Friday, May 28 from 6 to 9 pm and on Saturday May 29 from 9 am to 4 pm at St. Andrew's United Church on the corner of 5th and Union. In addition to shopping the great buys, patrons will enjoy tea and home baked goods accompanied by live music.

With other community events planned for the same Saturday, Skowron is planning to cross promote the book sale with the Railway and Forestry Museum's rummage sale and the REAPS plant sale. "We are promoting the idea of making a day of going to all these events, an outing for the whole family," she said.

All those interested in volunteering at the book sale, please contact Penny at the PGSO office 250-562-0800.
