UBC Opera Ensemble

This company, which draws its performers from advanced students and young professionals, has been producing high-quality opera since 1964. Students can participate in all aspects of operatic production, including solo and ensemble performance, coaching, conducting, stage direction, lighting, scenery and costume design. They take part in productions of scenes from works of famous composers, as well as staging a complete opera. The Ensemble has also recently toured Europe and performed in a variety of venues in the Vancouver area.
