A perfect way to spend Sunday afternoon! Come and enjoy the last taste of summer and feast on familiar musical favourites. Bring your lawn chairs, your blankets, kick back and relax to the music of your very own symphony!
We play for sun, but in the event of rain, 'Pops in the Pews' will be held at St. Michael's All Angels Anglican Church on Victoria & Fifth.
Pigeon Race
We will have 120 pedigree stud pigeons with speed, stamina, power, tenacity and vigour on site at Fort George Park. This magnificent strain of racing pigeons belong to the Fisher Fancier Loft and Ken will be onsite to show them off!
Ten avian athletes will be released to race to the lofty home. Entrants in this sporting event will be:

Those in the know are already wildly speculating on who will be first to enter the loft. Each bird will command a handsome prize. Only a $1.00 per ticket to enter to win on your favourite feathered friend. Prizes include PGSO tickets, an e-reader, and prizes from the Chinese Store, Sears Cosmetics, Great Canadian Oil Change, and Speedee Printers.
After the race, all the birds will be released creating a spectacular show!
Tim Huebert
Tim is a native of Saskatchewan, where he studied at Briercrest College and the University of Saskatchewan. After receiving a degree in music education, he taught in the public school system in Saskatchewan and was the music director at Bethany College.
Tim and his family moved to British Columbia in 1996. Since then he has been musically active in Prince George, most notably in his role as Worship and Music Pastor at Westwood Church. He leads the Sunday morning worship bands and directs the Westwood Church Choir, which, together with an orchestra comprised largely of Prince George community musicians, has established a reputation for presenting quality inspiring musical events for both the Christmas and Easter seasons.
