Prince George's own Jordan Kwan, the recipient of many prestigious awards comes to the stage to perform Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 2. The classic evening is paired with Mozart's last composition, the Jupiter Symphony No. 41 -- a tour de force celebration of our 41st season.
This most elegant piece of Mozart's work, the Sinfonia concertante, is still hotly contested in many ways by the experts but its beauty remains undeniable. Like a classic champagne, you will find "The Italian" as Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4 has been dubbed, sparkling and often surprising.
Celebrate the 60th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth to the throne -- her Diamond Jubilee! We can't take you to Buckingham Palace, but we can bring you the patriotic best of Britain. Then bring it all home with the Prince George Cantata Singers! A jamboree of patriotic nostalgia with a whiff of tradition awaits, so bring your costumes and your flags!

Sara Davis Buechner is a classical concert pianist of noteworthy accomplishment, virtuosic mastery, artistic sensitivity and extraordinary versatility. She is Associate Professor of Piano at UBC and is demand across Canada and internationally.
Celebrated violin virtuoso Elizabeth Pitcairn is distinguished not only by her talent but also her Red 'Mendelssohn' Stradivarious violin, the instrument that inspired the award winning film, The Red Violin. Then, feel the passion in Tchaikovsky's last complete symphony "Pathetique".
Follow the music from Italy to China in a cross-cultural extraordinary concert experience. From Italy, a world premiere, to a Croatian folk song. Stop along the trade route in Georgia, then the Steppes of Central Asia and down into Dun Huang, China, the confluence of the major routes of the Silk Road.
